Came around the corner and this large kererū was right up close… the dog was momentarily very excited…

A kererū takes off from a bush that, I think, has berries on it right now. We’re at Ōtari-Wilton’s Bush and in the background is a flat grass lawn and a stand of native trees beyond that.
